Working Mechanism: Air filter is composed by mash paper, seems simple structure 

but the role can not be overlook. If air filter fault,it will lead to incomplete the

 gas combustion and shorage the engine’s power, also will pollute the throttle’s 

body, causing unstable idle , engine abnormalites shaking and other symptoms.

Filter have 3 types: inertial ,filtration and oil-bath.

1) Inertia : Due to the density of impurities is larger than air , when the impurities

 rotating or sharp turning in the air, the usage of centrifugal inertial force will 

seperate the impurities out of gassteam.

2) Filtration: Leading the metal strainer or filter paper flow through the air and resist 

and adhere the impurities on the filter.

3) Oil-bath:The oil pan is provided at the bottom of air filter, used the air sharp shock 

the oil,seperate the impurities and viscosity in the oil, stirring up the drop of oil will

flow through the filter and adhere on it.When air flow through the filter can be further 

adsorption the impurities, so as to achieve the purpose of filtration.
