Production Process
Tempered glass is made by cutting the ordinary annealed glass into the required size, then heating it to about 700 degrees near the softening point, followed by rapid and uniform cooling (usually 5-6mm glass is heated at a temperature of 700 degrees for about 240 seconds and cooled for about 150 seconds). 8-10mm glass is heated at a temperature of 700 degrees for about 500 seconds and cooled for about 300 seconds. In a word, according to the thickness of the glass, the heating and cooling time are also different. After the toughening treatment, the glass surface formed uniform compressive stress, while the inside formed tensile stress, which improved the bending and impact strength of the glass, and its strength was more than four times of that of ordinary annealed glass. Tempered glass, which has been tempered, cannot be cut, ground or damaged in any way, otherwise it will be "shattered" due to damage to the balance of uniform pressure stress.
